Review of SmartStraps Tie Down Straps - Axle Strap - 348856- Video
Today we're taking a look at the SmartStraps Axle Strap with D-Rings.This is going to make a great attachment point for your vehicle if you're going to be towing it with a trailer, and it helps to secure it down to the bed of that trailer. Just wrap the strap up and around our axle, and then tie it down to a secure point on our trailer, whether that's to either side, or back on itself.It has a protective sleeve to help prolong the life of our strap, help to keep wear to a minimum, and it's constructed of a durable webbing, has some reinforced stitching on both ends, to make sure that that doesn't come apart. Our two D-Rings have a pretty thick construction. They feel pretty nice and secure.You will want to use this with a ratchet strap to make sure that everything is tightened down properly. Of course, you can find a lot of ratchet straps here at etrailer.com to load everything up and get everything tightened down properly.This measures 31" from end to end, going from the very tip of the D-Ring to the same point on the other side. Now, our Glacier Transport Chain is going to come in really handy when it comes to securing loads, whether it's in a truck, or in a trailer, so the heavy duty chain, so you're going to be looking at pretty heavy duty uses.The chain uses short link technology. As you can see, the links that we have here from end to end aren't nearly as long as what we see in a standard chain. This is going to allow for a longer life expectancy. With shorter links, we have more steel construction in our chain, so we can expect this to last much longer than a standard chain.Also, with the yellow dichromate finish resisting the corrosion, this should be a chain that we'll have for a long time to come. more

Pewag Tow-To-Go Chain with Grab Hooks Review- Video
Today we'll be take a look at the Pewag Tow-to-Go chain with grab hooks, 5/16" diameter, 10' long, part number PT8810. It features a spring-loaded integrated locking pin that's going to keep it from dislodging from whatever we have it connected to. The grade 80 steel construction chain is heat-treated. The hook is heat-treated as well. The chain is 10' long, it's got a 5/16" diameter, and its safe working limit is 4,500 pounds. As you can see, we're in quite the predicament here. We're not getting any traction. more

Erickson Tie Down Straps - Trailer - 58506 Review- Video
Today we're going to be taking a look at part number 58506. This is the Erickson Trailer Cargo Control, trailer axle strap with the attachment rings. This unit is going to be used to tie down a vehicle to the bed of a trailer. The axle strap is going to loop around the axle of the vehicle. The attachment points are all lined up. That way you can safely and effectively attach a ratchet strap hook and then tighten it down to secure the vehicle to the trailer bed. Now the strap itself is going to give us an overall width, from edge to edge, of the strap of right at 2 inches. It's going to give us a strap length of 24 inches. more

PackEm Wheel Tie-Down Kit Review- Video
Today we're going to be taking a look at the Pack'Em Wheel Tie-Down Kit part number PK-WTD. This tie-down kit is designed to hold down any type of wheeled equipment you might have, whether it's a ATV, UTV, construction equipment, landscaping equipment. It uses two weather-resistant wheel chocks. These are designed to bolt right down to your floor using the included hardware. Your wheel will be positioned between the two of them and then you'll use the polyester strap; this is 7' long. To begin our installation we're going to need to drive whatever we're going to be hauling onto our trailer so we can get our location just right on where we're going to mount all of our hardware. In this case we're going to be using our UTV. We're now going to take our wheel chocks and we want to set them snugly up against both sides of the wheel that we're going to use to secure our vehicle. We're going to mark each hole location to be sure we get this attached in the right spot. more

It offers twisted flat hooks and also has an axle strap which makes it very easy to secure your vehicle, UTV or ATV to a trailer or bed of a truck. As you can see the ratchet strap is made of very heavy-duty construction. This strap itself has extremely heavy stitching on it. It's going to help hold up over time. This gives our strap a 10,000 break capacity and a safe working load limit of 3,300 pounds. Erickson 5K Axle Strap with Rings Review- Video
Today we're going to be taking a look at the Erickson Axle Strap Loop, part number 58506. This is designed to go right over top of your axle and then connect the end of your ratchet strap right on to that. This measures 24" in length. It's 2" wide. This has a working load limit of 1650 pounds and a break strength of 5000 pounds. Now that we've gone over what it is and what we do with it, let's show you how we do it. This adjustable tire strap has the E-Track fittings that'll fit onto your E-Track system that would be installed in your trailer.
